Dam Marathon

I did it! I signed up for the Rexburg half marathon. June 14th is the date and that is really really soon. My roommates Sarah, Maggie, and Jane signed up as well. We are super excited but a little freaked out. Yesterday at the gym we ran 4 miles! But this morning I woke up with a terrible sore throat (thanks jane). This afternoon I was all ready to run another 4 miles but by mile 2 I jumped off the treadmill to drink some water and I about died cause my throat hurt so stinkin bad. I sure hate the dry air here in ID. So that was all the running I could accomplish for today. Pretty Sad. Tomorrow will be better! (cross my fingers).

Even though today was a bummer I am Super excited to do this. To actually run 13.1 miles.

Happy Birthday Annie!

It's my oldest sister, Annie's, birthday today. I sure wish I could take the day off and cruise down to Utah to party with her. But really what I want to do is pick her up from her house, drive her to the airport, fly to New York and take her shopping and eat Billy's cupcakes. But I suppose a phone call and a little package in the mail will have to suffice.

I hope you have a wonderful birthday Annie. You are a bomb sister and an amazing friend, mother, daughter, and wife. I look up to you so much. I feel so lucky to have you as an older sister! May this year be the best yet!!

The Apron Lady

Cute aprons huh! I love these aprons. My friend Mary's mom, Jan Lutz, is the designer. She is so talented. I am so excited (as I have mentioned before on this blog) about attending the Portland Quilt Market so I can work with The Apron Lady. Jan is sending me some patterns so I can practice and have one wear at the Quilt Market. Maybe I'll impress Amy Butler with my sewing skills! I have been a lover of aprons for along time and it so rewarding to make your own with the fabric that inspires you. Check out The Apron Lady website HERE

A day and a half in California!

Jane with Jordan and Cannon.
I really can't get enough of this place.
Cannon is a handsome lil dude.
The girls Chatted!
While the rest of the gang played baseball.
Jackson is gooood.
Saylor and I are BFF. We made cookies together and cuddled lots.
I had such a nice trip to California before school started. I so wish I could have spent more time there. We had a really fun family dinner and my brothers family came up from San Diego so that I could meet Cannon for the first time. I also fit in a little shopping and beach time and I also tried Sprinkles cupcakes for the first time!

I really look forward to spending a couple days in one of my favorite places and with some of my favorite people. Friday Jane and I will make the trek to Rexburg. I have such a hard time with change, so this all is bitter sweet for me. I'm really going to miss home but I'm anticipating summer adventures in the burg. Well I better sign off. Top Drawer

You've seen the wooden boxes at IKEA right? I gave mine a little makeover. Paint, Scrapbook paper, and Modge Podge. Thats all you need. I am really happy how it turned out. (sorry for the bad photography). If you ever decide to make something like this be sure to have a bone folder or a ruler or something to rub out the air bubbles from modge podge.
enjoy. xoxo.

raising the Bar

Oooo Man I am in love. My mom and sister introduced me to Clif Kid bars. They are called Organic Z Bar. And they are so so delish and only 120 calories. What a perfect afternoon snack!

a cute bag for a cute girl

I recently made this bag for my niece Elise. I used an Amy Butler pattern and fabric...which guarantees cuteness. I think Elise likes it. She told me she already filled it with stuff. What a darling girl.

happy to have her home

My Mom has been gone for 10 days and my Dad for 4 days. I've been one lonely girl. Tonight I picked my Mom up from the airport and it is So so nice to have her home. Even though Seattle welcomed her with lots and lots of rain tonight we had a fun time catching up. She told me lots of stories of the grand kids. We came home and made soup and salad and chatted away. I will be so sad to leave her in a couple days to go back to school.

a pillow and the letter K

I received the best package in the mail! My sister Egan who is a designer here (at 3-form) sent me this pillow that she made for me. I am obsessed. I love the way it looks on my bed.

I love the tag on the side!

Thanks Egan! Can I make a request that you make one for my room at college?

I'm in love with an Indian

Friday night I went to the Showbox to see Ghostland Observatory. They freaked my freak. I had a blast. They had the whole place dancing. Oh and I got close enough for him to touch my hand. boo ya. I love the sound of the synthesizer, the laser lights shooting out from behind them, and the lead singer....my word...he had killa dance moves and a rad voice.

Watch them here

Dang!

Sheesh! What is with me? I WON again! I won my families NCAA bracket challenge. I am now $30 richer. Wahoo!

Winning does not get old!

I Win Again

I won another drawing at Anthropologie. I was one of the top shoe sellers this last month and they had a drawing with those top names. It is so fun to win...especially when you work for Anthro. I got some darling blue goblets, a book, and the Best lip balm ever.

Legalize Frostitution

I just got home from a lovely evening with my good friend Marie. I met Marie about 6 or 7 years ago when I was in high school. She was my Young Women's leader at church. I had such a good time then and felt so blessed to have such cool, young, hip, spiritual leaders at that time in my life. Thanks to blogging we've been able to keep in touch. Tonight Marie and I planned a lil date to Cupcake Royale. Oh it was so tasty. Then we did a little shoe shopping. We had so much to catch up on so we already have another date planned. I love girl time.
Thanks Marie.

2 weeks Notice

I am Really Sad today.

1. I didn't get into the Nike Women's Marathon. It was a draft and I signed up with a group. Jane, Mandy W., and I were all part of this group and we were really looking forward to have an adventure in San Fransisco and accomplishing a marathon. We are now going for Plan B and registering for the St. George marathon. Wish me luck.

2. I put in my 2 weeks notice at Anthropologie. I am super sad. Different managers came up to me and gave me hugs. I was happy to hear that they want me to come back when I am finished with school. I dream of being an Apparel Merchandiser or a Display Coordinator. Hmmm I'll just keep dreaming.

2 more weeks of Seattle time.
