Cooking Club

This week was my first time at Cooking Club. Some of my friends have been doing it for a while now and I thought it sounded like so much fun. This week we got together at my house and made Pizza. Ohh it was so delish. I will post the recipe as soon as I can get my hands on it. Next week Jane and I are to come up with the recipes. ooo pressure!

Amazon purchases as of Late

I've been having fun shopping at Amazon. The Cindy Crawford workout DVD may seem like a really random purchase but I remember finding my older sister breaking a sweat in the basement of our house and I was so inspired. ha. And I love Wendy Mullin. I have her Sew U book and I've been looking forward to getting my hands on her Knit book. I can't wait to try out some new patterns.

Happy Birthday Jackson!

My nephew Jackson turns 9 today! He is a STUD and gives and the best hugs ever. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. sccary. He got a surf board for his birthday so I'm hoping he'll teach me how to surf one of these days.

I love Rexburg Summers for so many reasons. I love how simple life is here. It is so easy to have fun...well I have to say that I am incredibly lucky to have such rad friends!

Mad Hatter Madness

I'm a sucker for a themed dance party! (And I love throwing a party.) So Maggie's birthday was a great excuse to do both. We threw her a Mad Hatter party, and it was a HIT. I was impressed by the turn out. Maggie was Alice...of course and she looked so darn pretty.

On my mind

My brother-in-law Kenyon starts chemo today and in 9 days he will get the bone marrow transplant. This all hardly seems real. My sister Annie is keeping updates on her blog which is so nice. PS she is pregnant with a Girl! Yay.

I so wish I could be there to be of help in anyway. But for now my thoughts, prayers, and phone calls will have to do.

Saturday morning my friends and I ran the Teton Dam Marathon. We ran the half marathon! I had never ran 13 miles before so it was an awesome feeling of accomplishment. It was so much fun and got me excited to do more. I loved the energy of a race. It was fun to think that So many people come together to RUN. After the race there was tons of food, drinks, music, and a massage table. I stood in line for a long time but it was sooo worth it. I am pathetically sore today but so happy. Happy to have ran the race and happy that summer weather has FINALLY arrived in Rexburg.

utah trip

My Methods class went to Utah this week to go to a Family and Consumer Science conference. We went to 2 days of classes on various topics. I found it very interesting and it made me excited to teach. I LOVE my major. I went to fashion classes, cooking classes, interior design classes, and others. I love the girls in my major too. We laughed the whole time.

On Tuesday when we got to Utah we went straight to Gateway mall to do some shopping. When we were in Abercrombie we saw ASHLEY TISDALE from High School Musical. It was So Funny. We hunted her down and asked to get a picture with her. (actually Carly did it...i got to nervous haha). She's pretty but didn't say a Word. Lame. I just hope my nieces think I'm cool now...cause I saw Sharpay in real life.

birthday fun

Jane and I had a RAD birthday. Our friends are the BEST. I got so many wonderful phone calls and thougthful gifts. We woke up to a tasty breakfast and that night went to dinner and then played Rock Band. It was a blast. So thank you friends and family for being so sweet. I'm thinking this is going to be a good year. Yay 23!
