highest bidder

I'm in charge of Service in my ward and last week we did a Christmas Service Auction. For the last month we've been announcing it in church and having people sign up for a service or something they could donate. The night of the auction we had dinner and put items on a table for a silent auction and we had a live auction. There was such a good turn out! (i was so pleased!) And guess what.
we raised $1900 in one night. Next week we will be shopping for a couple families that we are doing Christmas for.
I love this time of year!

Go Dawgs

We went to a couple UW volleyball games this Thanksgiving weekend. So fun! I miss the days when Egan played with them.

PS. wear a scarf when you eat popcorn. cause when you miss your mouth your scarf can catch it.

Pumpkin Pie me o my

Happy Thanksgiving

I'm home in Seattle spending Thanksgiving weekend with some fam.

We saw Fantastic Mr. Fox. See Jane's post. (we loved loved it)
We had our 3rd Annual Pie contest (we are really competitive). Mine Won. Best Pumpkin Pie yet.

My mom made these. Gingerbread Cookies...backs dipped in chocolate
I made these pins for napkin rings. Inspired by Martha December 09 issue.

It snowed on Sunday. And I loved it. Every minute of it. Cause snow on a Sunday is just so cozy.

Prayers

My bro-in-law Kenyon is back in the hospital. Such a bummer...but at the same time it's where he needs to be to get better. He was sick sick all last week and just not getting better. So keep him in your prayers.

Annie, you are a rock star. nuff said.

Kenyon, love ya. Hang in there!

Happy Thanksgiving Week. There is still so much to be grateful for. Ya know!

Friendsgiving

Last night was a dream. Us girlfriends got together for a Friendsgiving Dinner. (last month for Halloween we got together to eat soup before the parties. next month we are doing a Christmas breakfast!!)

The Friendsgiving dinner was held at Missy's house. There was a full on spread. Turkey+Homemade Rolls+Sweet Potatoes+Mashed Potatoes+Jello+Stuffing+ Green Salad+Caramelized Carrots+Steamed Green Beans+a Tasty Drink+ Dessert!

Holy YUM!
The Gang:
(all girls from my ward. A gorgeous bunch. eh!)

At each plate was a piece of paper with our name on the top. After dinner we passed the paper around to write what we like about that person. It reminded me of Young Women's. But so much better. Reading it made me feel like a million bucks! jeesh.

Check this out...
my mouth is watering just looking at this picture!

Happy Friendsgiving!

Kimberly...

I found these pictures in your photobooth. This was over a year ago. We were getting cozy in your basement bedroom sharing a little container for Chocolate Peanut Butter Haagen Dazs ice cream. Remember?

People at work...

thought I was 20. Like all of them did. I'm not sure how I should feel about that. Offended?

Should I wear more makeup? Take my hair out of the ponytail?

Actually I just want to look like her...
Love that get up.

angel on my shoulder

We saw Kaskade in Park City a couple weekends ago. So so Fun. The clubbin crowd is...interesting.
We didn't fit it...which is a good thing.

Take a listen and add it to your running mix!

Nest Quilt

I got another quilt finished. The top had been done for over a year and it was just sitting in a pile of things waiting to be quilted.
Now it is done and cozy as ever.

Katelyn came in town this weekend. She was my first roommate at BYU-I. She was the first person I met there really...and I was/am so lucky to have met her. I loved seeing her again and catching up. While we spent the day crafting she took these pictures for me....

check out her photography blog here

Because they don't have a blog and because I don't have kids

I just can hardly handle it. The Bournes dressed as Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween.
Saylor as Granny. That expression...I die! (i made the nightgown. it's not great but it reminded me of how much i loved nightgowns when I was that age. ha)
Brooklyn as Little Red Riding Hood. Perfection.

Tanner as the Big Bad Wolf. (my mom made the fur vest and hood. i want one in my size!)

Jackson as the Hunter. Such a stud.
And The Porters were all Star Wars characters. So Rad! I think we all about died seeing Quinn as Princess Leia.
Then there's The Metcalfs. Oh, I miss them so much.
