Aunts do Disneyland

Shauna and I took our nieces who are the same age to Disneyland last week. They were champs the whole time. The concept of standing in line and waiting is a little hard for them to understand but nothing a soft pretzel and mickey lollipop can't help. 

When we walked in the parade was going. It was magical watching it with a 2 year old. I seriously almost cried. 

girl talk

my friends and i went to Girl Talk a couple weeks ago. i hadn't seen Girl Talk in 4 years and it was as sweaty and incredible as i remember. we danced hard. Dev opened.. never heard but i was into it.

we witness some pretty amazing sunsets where we live. trying to capture it on a phone while driving is a joke.. but I'll keep trying.

baby blankets

JoAnns surprised me with their cute collection of flannel fabrics recently and it turns out I had some baby blankets to make. I love giving these simple flannel blankets to new babies because they are soft, light and a perfect size.. oh and really easy to make :)

Justin Bieber

Besides doing freelance for Cartier and working a couple nights at Anthropologie I'm also doing some nannying. This family is the best! And they are super flexible so it works well with my ever changing schedule. One of their daughters turned 12 and got tickets to take her and 5 friends to Justin Bieber!! They asked if I'd want to take them. Umm SURE!!! We had such a good time and this group of 12 yr olds were so darling. Justin Biebs was so so good, really talented and every girl there feel in love. Boy knows what to say to make a girl swoon.

Vegas

I got 2 free nights at Mandalay Bay and had to use them asap so I whisked my sister Jen away for the weekend. It was so fun to have sister time and get her all to myself. She's the best.

Romney Fundraiser

I, along with a bunch of my friends were invited to go to a Mitt Romney fundraiser that he was speaking at. They needed "young business professionals" sitting behind him. Twist my Arm!!! Of course I said Yes. We mingled and people watched while we waiting to get seated (it took a long time because he had an emergency press conference). We got seated and were entertained by Terry the ventriloquist. He was really good! Mitts son spoke and told a couple of stories about his dad and they played a cool video that pumped you up about Mitt Romney!! Then he came out and spoke. I was impressed. He was passionate, confident, clear in his vision, and patriotic. I'm grateful I had a chance to see him speak live.

After Mitt spoke David Foster came out and did a little concert. He was really entertaining and hilarious and obviously talented. And um at one point my girl Cami got the microphone and sang to the crowd!!!! we're hoping David Foster calls her up with a job offer.

my friend alex was in town for a wedding and we got to hang out for a few days. we had fun going to different beaches and eating at little hot spots along PCH. on the last day our friend Jameson came down from LA and we snorkeled at Shaws Cove. alex gets an A+ on visitorship. he is chill and fun and up for an adventure and really great to talk to. love that guy.
