ms. teacher

Have I told you that I am student teaching? Well, I am, and it is going great. Really great. I am at a middle school teaching Family and Consumer Science. This week I am teaching sewing and most of the kids are pretty excited but what they all really want to do is cook... so they can eat! ha. The kids make me laugh. As I was standing in front of the class one day starting my lecture a boys tells me (and the rest of the class) "you have big eyeballs!" hmmm thanks??? i guess. jeez they are funny. I am learning lots. Lots about classroom management. I have some tough kids that push my buttons. That is just part of teaching though. Managing the classroom.

Okay in other news I had a fabulous weekend! I can't wait to show you pictures!

Also there will be some 143 etsy shop updates. Hope you're excited.

Harvest

My sister Egan is in China for the next 2 weeks so Jane and I have the privilege of taking care of her garden. Which means lots of produce for us! Yay! We are so excited. Then we went to our brothers house and my sister-in-law gave us apples and peaches from her parents garden. I really love this time of year.

Jane and I also spent ALL Saturday morning garage saleing. It sure is addicting.

How was your weekend?

I am a sucker for kids clothes and these just melt my heart. I want to dress this cool! And that little model is too cute for words. Check out his new kids Fall '08 line at his website. click Here

more T's please

Have you heard of Design by Humans? Well, its a cool T-shirt company that was started by some of my sister and brother-in-laws friends.
Artists around the world submit their art to be printed on shirts. It is an ongoing t-shirt design contest and everyday a new artist is featured. A very cool concept.

Oh and they are a great price too!

I think you're cool

Kate Spade ads are so rad. I'm inspired! Inspired by the great photography, fun use of color, and the interesting and unique ways she advertises her products. Very cool!
