of late. #summer11
Summer if fa-lyyying by. Why so fast? I'm not a very good picture taker/blogger it seems. One problem is I am still a proud (read: ashamed) owner of a flip phone. If only I had an iphone...

July 4th, 2011 BBQ
After spending the day at Three Arch we went to The Bournes for a BBQ. My sisters always kill it in the food dept. Always good! They also kill it in the cute kid dept. too...

Grilled Strawberry Shortcake for dessert!

My college friend Tony and my old Seattle friend Nicole came to town this weekend (they're married). I took them to A's Burgers for breakfast burritos and we spent the day at the beach of course. On Saturday night we went to The Riders Club for dinner with Jen and Dave. I had the best burger of my life. Mind blowing. Is it rude that I took my vegetarian guests to a burger joint? Maybe, but they loved their burgers too. Portobello Mushroom and Veggie Quinoa. The Riders Club is for everyone ;)

Sleepover. Girls Only.
Friday Night Saylor and Brooklyn came over for a sleepover. Saylor actually asked if they could sleepover earlier in the week and starting making a list of things we'd do. How can I say No to that?
Cami hung out with us too and now they can't stop raving about Cami. She's the coolest.
Sleepover Run Down:
Dance party
Golden Spoon
Cheerleader moves
Barbie Rapunzel movie (painful)
Nails
Pyramids
Late bed time
Early wake up
Waffles

I'd like to have last weekend on repeat. Friends and family visiting, the best weather, and a long holiday weekend.
Saturday we spent 5+ hours at Riviera. Egan got stung by a sting ray. Which was a bummmer! But she handled it like a champ. The life guards say that grown men cry because it's so painful. Besides that incident it was a perfect beach day. Beach food, lots of friends, mini surfing lessons, and an increasing tan.

Jackson turned the ripe age of 12 a few weeks ago. He's growing up before my very eyes. It felt like yesterday that I was in jr. high telling all my friends I was an Aunt to THE cutest baby ever. Now he's 12! I'm happy I could help him celebrate. I treated him to 7/11 food, a slim jim and Gatorade. Don't 12 year olds love that stuff?
