Ice Cream and North Shore

At the end of April my Mom and Jane were both in town! Dream! One evening my mom treated the kids to cones at Rite Aid. And then Jane and I bounced to Newport to see North Shore at Lido Theater with Cami and friends. And we met Turtle.. no biggie.

Southern California Ragnar

In April a group of my friends did the So Cal Ragnar. This is my first Ragnar and now I get why people do this every year. It's a Good Time! We had a great team too, so that helps. Running in the heat was the most brutal part and I think we all said the night run was our favorite. It was fun cruising through all of southern california blasting tunes and cheering on our team. I ate more uncrustables then I'd like to admit and went off maybe 2 hours of sleep but I'd do it again!

Oh and we're pretty terrible at decorating our vans. There is room for improvement for next year :)

Lord Huron / Portugal the Man

In April a group of us went to Pomona for the Lord Huron and Portugal the Man show. It was so good! So so good I want to go again.

Disneyland with Emily and Casey

While Emily and Casey were here we went to Disneyland for a day. It may be one of my favorite days and Disneyland ever. Just so good, all of it. They both are Dland experts so we tried all the best treats and rides. And we met pirates. 

Sunday stroll

Sunday dinners are at the Bourne's house. I feel so lucky to have them close and that they don't seem to get sick of me. When Emily and Casey were here we enjoyed dinner at the Bourne's house and a walk in the park. The kids were eating up the extra attention. 

Venice Canals

One Saturday in April while Emily and Casey were visiting we ventured up to LA with a group of friends. We attempted to go on a hike in Malibu but by the time we got to LA it seemed to far. haha. So we toured Venice. I really love taking friends to Venice. We started at the canals and walked around. So beautiful! Then walked through a farmers market then on to Abbott Kinney. Fun shops and yummy treats. A really perfect day.
