Cha Ching!

I have really good news. Wahoo! The Family and Consumer Science dept at BYUI offers a scholarship every semester and I had never taken the time to apply. Two weeks ago on the day of the deadline I decided to give it a chance. And I got it! A $500 dollar scholarship. I am so thrilled but the part I was most excited about was telling my parents. I knew they'd be happy. I'm not sure why I waited so long to apply. Silly me.
(random pic, i know, but i look excited right?!)

Steven Harrington

My sister Egan introduced me to the artist Steven Harrington. I love his work. He uses the term "contextual objectivism" to describe his work. I think the Mona Lisa is super cool. He has shirts, vans, prints, etc. Check him out.

you're so Hot!

I've been having fun making hot pads.

a breath of fresh air

I am so happy that I found the creations of Sally Scott. I don't know much about her, but what I do know, I love. I found her as I was reading some random blogs. I want to find out more but it's a little hard considering her entire website is in Japanese. Yikes, I need someone to translate for me. What I like so much is the catalog. The images are inspiring. It makes me excited for Spring. And I love the clothes. Beautiful! So check her out. I know you'll like what you see and I know you'll wish you could read Japanese!

a few more goodies

I've been making aprons (some are reversable!). My mom asked me to make some aprons for her so she can give them as gifts. She is going to use them for wedding shower gifts to pair with her favorite cook book.

look good, feel good

Myself and my friend Christina this summer. I am wearing a Landsend swimsuit and Christina is wearing Urban Outfitters.

Today I woke up to beautiful sunny day. I was so happy to see blue skies. The sun lightens my mood and it gets me really excited for spring/summer. I love spending days at the beach or lake. I can spend hours in the sun and I love every minute of it. But what makes me feel really good is a flattering, comfortable, modest swimsuit. I am so happy to see that there are a lot of cute modest swimsuits around because it makes my life so much easier. If you've been in the market for a swimsuit check out the websites I listed and I hope you find something you like.
