party like a 9 year old

the birthday boy:

s'more bar.
scavenger hunt.

a mini s'more mix. golden grahams, chocolate chips, mini marshmellows.

my nephew tanner turned 9 last week. i helped my sister in the party planning ... though she did all the work. it was such a fun party. my sister planned a scavenger hunt that had them running all over the beach with clues and it ended with a treasure box full of goods. The boys went crazy for parachute men, glow sticks and gold coins. They played games on the beach like wiffle ball and capture the flag. Dinner was roasted hot dogs, grapes, veggies, and juice boxes.
the best part was the s'more bar. but we realized that 9 year olds don't really know how to properly roast a marshmellow. but oh boy they love fire!

I LOVE parachute men!!! Best part about having brothers was that I got to play with that sort of stuff too :-) Tanner is sooooo cute. He is such a gem. I LOVED seeing him on gmail chat. his juggling killed me. Such a cutie pie!
