Malcolm Gladwell was born in England and raised in Canada. He now lives in New York and writes for the New Yorker magazine.
Tipping Point is a book about change. He asks and examines questions like: "why did crime drop so dramatically in New York City in the mid-1990's? How does a novel written by an unknown author end up as national bestseller? Why do teens smoke in greater and greater numbers, when every single person in the country knows that cigarettes kill? Why is word-of-mouth so powerful? What makes TV shows like Sesame Street so good at teaching kids how to read?" The Tipping Point is an examination of the social epidemics that surround us.
"Blink" is a book about the kind of thinking that happens in the blink of an eye. So interesting! He explains that in the first two seconds some really powerful and important conclusions can be made.
Below is the description of the book "Outliers" found Here"In this stunning new book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" -- the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: that is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing. Along the way he explains the secrets of software billionaires, what it takes to be a great soccer player, why Asians are good at math, and what made the Beatles the greatest rock band."

Happy Reading!

While it's not needed I wanted to second your endorsement! The Tipping Point is fascinating - and I've almost finished Blink. Both a quick reads (I do it on the bus) and both have totally opened my eyes to things around me. Great review and I hope more people take your advice!
