Rumours

Some friends and I got tickets to see Rumours a Fleetwood Mac tribute band. The tickets were cheap and I just had a feeling it was going to be awesome. And it was!!! They talked, sang, looked exactly like the band. 

I had a hotel for the night from work and was working the next day in LA so I had Cami stay with me. I booked it at the Hollywood Roosevelt which I've wanted to stay at for a long time. It lives to the hype! I want to go again when I can really enjoy it. ie.. not work the next morning. :)

San Francisco

I had to work in SF on a Friday and decided to extend my trip for the weekend so I could hang out with Bitty in the city. She and her husband are new to SF too. We had the best time and she is a dream host. She picked me up from work on Friday night and we went shopping downtown. We went to Burma Superstar (thanks for the rec. cami) for dinner and it was over an hour wait. It was late and we were starving but still wanted to eat there. We decided to eat dessert before dinner while we waited for our table. I really wanted to try Bi Rite so we drove out to grab a scoop. The line was long for that too! But wow worth it!  I can't wait to go back and try another flavor. Burma Superstar was awesome too.

Saturday we rented bikes at Blazin Saddles and met up with some friends to ride across the bridge. It was a gorgeous warm January day. How lucky! And felt so good to be outside. Everyone was out enjoying the weather. I loved the bridge. I've never done anything in SF besides work so it was really fun for me to explore the touristy sites. We ate lunch at Boudin after the ride. And then Bitty and I went to some fun boutiques in the afternoon.

Drove down Lombard street (curviest street in SF)

Visited Coit Tower

Ate dinner at Starbelly: incredible!!!

Attempted dessert at Smitten but it was closed so we got donuts at Bob's Donuts. Amazing.

I can't wait to go back and visit!

layover

My brother and his family moved to Perth, Australia earlier this month. They had a layover in LA so I took two of my nieces up to meet them for dinner (the rest of the family was unavailable). I am so glad we could meet up. I'm going to miss them so much! I hate that they are so far away but I'm really excited for their adventures for the next year or so.

Disneyland date with Campbell

Campbell is still free to take to Disneyland so she's my go-to date. And I am so lucky, cause she's the easiest happiest best girl. I love hanging with her. Last friday when we went it was a quiet January morning and with light rain and we got to see a ton of characters! I never bother but with Campbell I had to and took a ridiculous amount of pics. She hugged each princess multiple times. melt me.

Orange Circle

Cami and I spent a Saturday afternoon in Downtown Orange. I've never spent anytime there surprisingly. It's cool! Full of antique stores and fun places to grab treats. We explored and then ate at Bruxie. Going back for that waffle for sure! We split 2 waffles. 1 fried chicken and 1 s'more. Both incredible!

Friend time in SLC

I'm so happy I got to Salt Lake in time to go to Annie's bridal shower. Ali and Bitty did a beautiful job and so many friends were in town to attend. It was an amazing breakfast spread and so so great to be with my favorite girls. Also to celebrate Annie! We're so excited for her.

A few of us were still in town or back in town after the new year and we went to Sea Salt for dinner.

January 2nd

My friend Alex and I went up Milcreek for a hike. We planned on snowshoeing but it hadn't snowed in a couple days and they weren't needed. I was so worried about being cold but we were just fine. We kept stopping to take in the beauty. It was ahhmmaazzing! Filled me soul with joy, I mean it. Gorgeous scenery everywhere I looked. I couldn't even capture it. We hiked and talked about our 2013 goals and I left that mountain feeling real great. And then we enjoyed a bagel.

Talk about perfect day.
