cause we're girls

last friday my nephews and my brother-in-law were out of town. so we had ourselves a girls night (i am such a sucker for this stuff). i bought flowers and let saylor and brooklyn make flower arrangements. jen and i made breakfast for dinner.... we made mini pancakes and smoothies.

saylor set the table. she has a real eye for this stuff (we're meant to be!)

bitty, jane, maggie, and kimberly pulled into town and just like that we were in the car headed to the beach with egan and the bournes.



And guess who decided to join us...

Yep! I love her so much. Really truly she's one of my faves. And I love what she was wearing at the beach. Striped leggings, a black corduroy skirt, black turtle neck, huge brown leather belt, and a great hat.

oh man, i love the 4th! last year was gonna be hard to beat because i was in seattle with my whole fam but this year was just as good. egan came on thursday. and jane, kimberly, maggie, and bitty came on saturday morning. how lucky am i? sisters and besties all at once! we had such a good weekend. and the bournes are seriously The Best because they let us all stay at their house all weekend!

After church we had an amazing dinner before heading to Huntington for fireworks.

oh, and i made saylor and brooklyn skirts for the occasion.

three arch

egan came last thursday. it is so so good to have her here!
on Friday we went to Three Arch (a private beach in Laguna). Jen made tin foil dinners...yum! And while those were cooking Dave, Egan, and Jackson went spear fishing. And look what Dave came back with...A really big fish. Everyone at the beach came to see the fish. It was a real party piece.


After dinner we did smores. double yum.
