Hey Ma, it's a crater.

My friend Julie is always up for an adventure. And she finds little treasures all over Utah. On Tuesday she took us to the Homestead Crater.

These are Shauna's pictures. (and they aren't photo shopped. straight out of camera!!)

A.M.

I'm a breakfast fan. You know that, right?!

But for a quick breakfast...a hard boiled egg and a piece of toast will do. Lately I've been hooked on organic bp and honey on my toast.

I spotted this honey here and want to give it a try cause the bottle is just so pretty.

Have you heard of or tried Ezekiel bread? It is found in the freezer section at Whole Foods.
Yum, so good.

They build the best tunnels then destroy them. I don't get the destroying them part.

Happy Birthday Dad!

I love you!

Saturday is for lovers

We started the morning off by having brunch at Ruth's Diner. oooooh my gaaaaash this place is dreamy. In the mountains, incredible food, great atmosphere. A must go if you are in Salt Lake.

Then in was Steiner's Pool for the afternoon. We couldn't resist. It was 100 degreez. Blazin!

And in the evening we went to Julie and Julia. It was an excellent movie. I really really loved it. I already have a love for cooking but this move made me all sorts of excited. Meryl Streep is so good! One hate though...the way the Amy Adams(Julie) husband ate. It just kinda bugged. I just didn't like that he stuffed is face. Have you seen it yet? Thoughts?

Tie Dye

Yesterday I did Tie Die with my nieces and nephews (we miss you Jordan and Cannon). The kids loooved dying their shirts. And each shirt turned out so cute.

I made them do a lil photo shoot before we got Fro Yo. Dorky, I know. but I can't resist.

And they come up with these moves all on their own. No coaching. Impressive, huh?!

And my favorite of them all...

easy breezy

California is dreamy.

Yesterday we went to the beach. Today we did Rock Painting, Tie Dye shirts, the Pool, and Fro Yo.

We picked out some rocks at the beach yesterday to paint.

We spent the afternoon at the pool.

I make them do stuff like this. They love (hate) me for it.

After the pool they set up blankets and watched Willow.
aaaaaaand I have a burnt face. awesome x10

I came on Friday

I'm in Laguna Niguel, CA visiting my sister Jen and her family. I came down with my sister Annie and her cute kids. We're having a great time.

I really really love this place.

Tonight after dinner we went for a walk. What a view!

roommates/teachers/besties

Dear Jane,

I love you! I hope you have a really great first day of teaching! Those little first graders are gonna love you, I just know it. Don't be nervous, you'll be just fine. When I get back from CA I will have to come in and meet the little babies. :)

Good Luck.

Dear Kimberly,

You are the cutest 3rd grade teacher ever. I like coming to your school and popping in your classroom and seeing you teach. You're really great at it! And those kiddos love you!

Dreams do come true...

Last night after a birthday party/house warming party for our friend Gard a group of us left at the same time and...well...we got stuck in the elevator. Not for long, but long enough to say it happened. Read Maggie's post about it here.

Ever since I saw You've Got Mail I've wanted to get stuck in an elevator. Don't you love that scene?!

The fact that the elevator was full of mirrors made it even more awesome/creepy.

Jane was a tad nervous.
