Star Struck!

I AM SO EXCITED. AHHH! So my neighbor and really good friend Mary went to some Quilters Conference or Convention type thing in Huston. Fabric designers and pattern designers and so much more were at this thing. She came back with the coolest stuff and met all these amazing people from the industry. I am SO jealous and want to go next year. Mary totally made my day when she gave me Amy Butlers Fall 2007 catalog and it was SIGNED to ME. YAY! I love her. I think Amy modernized sewing and fabric design and I am so inspired by her stuff.

Sounds Good to Me

Did you see the Oprah show a couple weeks back with Jessica Seinfeld on? Man, that was a good show. And I am sold! I want that cook book. I don't even have kids but I think it would be fun to learn to cook this way.

I want to hear you SCREAM!

Last night we went to Haunted Mill in Sugar City, ID. It is scary and hilarious all at the same time. My stomach hurt I was laughing so hard. I tend to laugh when I am scared just to make it..well...less scary. We got some of the monsters to take pics with us. nice huh.
I love Halloween!

just like heaven

I went to the CUTEST quilt shop today. Oh it is adorable. My heart starts beating with excitement and my creative blood starts flowing. I got fabric to make more aprons, headbands, and skirts for my nieces. It is great that I work in the sewing lab so that when I am not helping students or doing homework I can take a break and do my own sewing.
*I will post pics when they are done.

uuuuuTAH

I went to Utah this weekend and had such a good time. Friday night I drove down with janers and two of my roommates. We hit up gateway and saw a movie (Across the Universe-loooved it). Saturday we made a trip to Provo to see the Minerva Teichert display at the BYU art museum. She is my favorite church artist. I love her stuff. Thanks to my mom, grandma, and sister they taught me to love art. It was fun to walk around the museum with my mom. She has such passion and I love it! After the museum we got dinner and relaxed. Sunday was a busy day. My cousin James came home from his mission and my cousin Jake is leaving on a mission so was filled with homecomings and farewells and family gatherings. It was so nice to see family on both sides. And I especially loved seeing my sis egan. She has a long recovery ahead of her but she is doing well. I love that girl!

I would dare say that this is my favorite movie of the year. Sure I loved Hairspray and High school musical 2, and Transformers but this, my friends, is incredible. I love this Cowboy flick. It is super! So go see it people. And ch-ello Christian Bale is in it.
3:10 to Yuma is calling your name.

EGAN i luff you!

I love general conference weekend! I love it for so many reasons. The talks have been amazing of course and I have enjoyed relaxing in Rexburg. I have never stayed in Rexburg for conference weekend because it has always worked out to go down to Utah and hit up a session or two. But this weekend my roommates and I decided to stay here. We have had a great time. We went to this Super cool quilt shop in Ribgy, ID and I got fabric to make an apron and a bag. I am so excited. We ate a lot of food, we ran errands, we did homework, we watched movies, and drank hot chocolate watching snow come down and COVER Rexburg. No joke. It is early October and the snow has already begun. Yikes.

Anywho on to news about my sister Egan. My brother-in-law and Egan went on mountain biking in St. George Saturday morning. On the ride she got in a bad accident. She must have it a rock or something and she flew over her handle bars and was unconscious for 10-15 minutes bleeding from her nose and mouth. My bro-in-law called 911 and a helicopter came to the rescue. She is now in the hospital with broken ribs, cuts, and bruises. But blessings and answered prayers are already being witnessed. This morning the Doctor took the neck brace off. She didn't get a concussion or any sort of head or neck injury! Thank goodness. The Doctor said today that she can move as much as feels comfortable. She will be in a lot of pain for a while and the healing process will be slow. But I am so grateful that she is doing better. My mom flew in today from Seattle. And my sisters and their families have been with her which brings a lot of comfort. Egan is SO active. She's the type that goes to the gym twice in a day just for kicks. She's in tennis leagues and volleyball leagues, she hikes, bikes, runs, whatever. So it is going to be super hard on her to not participate in those things for a while. I love her so much. And will continue to pray for a complete recovery.

Egs i love ya!

I had to do it

I just had to start a blog. I need a place to express myself and this seems like the perfect solution. Plus, I enjoy checking out friends blogs. Why not give it a try?

So here I am, a 22 year old senior at BYU-Idaho studying Family & Consumer Science Education. This is a super tough semester so if it wasn't for amazing friends and a super fun social life I don't know if I would make it. So thank the heavens for great friends. I am working too. I was lucky and got a job on campus in the Sewing Lab. I love it. I help girls with their assignments and I also get to work on projects of my own. Pretty rad.
I look forward to blogging my life away.
enjoy
xoxo
